Tack by contract between Andrew Mowatt of Gairth, on one part, and Erasmus Mense of Whitnes and Barbara Sinclair, his spouse, on the other, of 9 merk land in Colaster and 9 merk land in Garth, with a piece of ground and land thereunto pertaining called the Know, in the parish of Sandness, for the space of five years, to begin at the term of labouring in 1697, for the yearly sum of £40, engrossed on 29 April 1698.
